Description

TLLLLLLLT is a series of works that can be considered instruments, formed by TL armatures (fluorescent lights) – a technology quickly becoming obsolete as it is widely replaced by LEDs.

TLLLLLLLT – For the Love of Dan Flavin highlights the inherent acoustic properties of the lights, with their casings acting as resonance chambers to amplify a recognizable sound. In TLLLLLLLT – Tower, the lamps experience a slow transformation: they undergo a gradual compression with their casings bending over time, exerting pressure on the fluorescent tubes. This installation plays with the acoustic property of this sound in a randomized composition, archiving a particular era by capturing the blinking “TLLLLLLLT” sounds.
